Nine stuck in lift in Alberton Service Centre

Alderman Bruna Haipel was one of these unfortunate people.

ON the morning of September 26, nine people were stuck in an elevator on the eighth floor of the Alberton Service Centre.

Luckily, they were stuck for less than an hour. Alderman Bruna Haipel was one of these unfortunate people. Apparently, the elevator doors could not open.

With a relieved smile, Bruna commented on being stuck with eight other people in a tiny elevator: “It was rather hot and uncomfortable. Some people were feeling claustrophobic, too. But we survived.”

After about 45 minutes, the people managed to get the doors open. All were relieved to get out, breathe in some fresh air and continue with their day of work.
