A White VW Polo with four to five armed suspect attempted to hijack a resident in Randhart, last night on September 12.
The suspects opened fire on the resident as he attempted to get away from the suspects.
He also managed to return fire and the suspects fled the scene.
False numberplates from the suspect vehicle were recovered on scene as well as the original number plate.
