Ludi’s case postponed

Olivier stands accused of the murder of Ludi Vink and court proceedings will resume in September.

IT has been 192 days since the pool cue attack which killed Ludi Vink on February 21 when he tried to stop a fight at Mitzy’s Pub in Randhart.

Daniel Jacobus Olivier (52) is facing a murder charge after stabbing Vink in the eye at Mitzy’s. The attack was captured on CCTV.

Olivier appeared in the Palm Ridge District Court on August 30 where the case has been postponed again to September 8. Olivier’s bail was extended.

Family and friends of Ludi all wore T-shirts featuring a photo of him and a ‘B+’ symbol which indicated his blood type.
