A COMPANY car was stolen during a business robbery at an Alberton North business on August 4.

It has been reported that three males approached a company employee and stole a white Kia motor vehicle.

On August 18 the vehicle was recovered at the Leondale area. One of the vehicle recovery company agents informed the SAPS’s flying squad. “SAPS went to the scene and swiftly recovered the vehicle. A man (42) had the vehicle keys in his possession,” said Capt Manare Ramotshela from Alberton SAPS.

“During questioning the suspect it was determined that the suspect’s explanation was not sufficient and as such he is held in Alberton SAPS cells for further investigation. The suspect will appear in court soon.

“We appeal to the community at large to inform the police of any suspicious criminal activity in their area as well as have preventative measures on their properties and personal belongings for speedy recovery during a theft,” he added.
