Road turned into obstacle course

EMM must come and finish the job.

IN May a resident of Thame Street had a problem with water in the street caused by a burst pipe.

After numerous reports to the EMM, the problem was attended to in June.

But now, after the repair work was done, many motorists are avoiding driving in Thame Street, but the residents in the street have no other option.

The residents allege that EMM workers arrived in June, dug a big hole in the street, half filled it with soil and just left it in such a state that no vehicle can drive over it.

One resident, who only gave his name as ‘Eugene’, complained that the hole, which takes up almost half the street has become a real obstacle and a danger to motorists. Because the hole is near a sharp bend, it makes it difficult for any driver who comes around the bend.

The residents want to know why EMM left the job half done – since June. The say EMM has created the mess which is endangering their lives and that of their children. EMM should finish their job.

The RECORD is awaiting comment from EMM.
