TLC gets huge donation from young brothers

Tristan and Tyler are going on with their project.

THE two Goncalves brothers, Tristan and Tyler, donated R17 000 worth of goods on July 11 to the TLC Children’s Home in Eikenhof.

The RECORD wrote about them on June 19 where they started to collect nappies, NAN formula milk, wet wipes and clothes for the children. The project started in May, when the two little boys from Alberton visited TLC Children’s Home.

GATHERED: R17 000 worth of goods was donated.

Tristan, you may recall, was the little man who donated R9 100 worth of items to Alberton SPCA in 2016.

According to the boys’ mother Wendy, this whole visit inspired them to be a helping hand to the TLC Children’s Home. Tristan and Tyler put together a whole collection of their books and clothes to take. “Once we got there and the boys started interacting with the babies, they were hooked. Now all they want to do is help these little people,” said Wendy.

LOVE: Tristan and Tyler Goncalves in their mother’s kitchen with all of the goods.

They donated the following (among other things):

• 34 packs of wet wipes

• 12 tins of baby formula

• 40 packs of nappies

• 15 baby blankets

• 20 bottles of baby shampoo and conditioner

“We would also like to thank everyone who contributed to this delivery, but especially Tem’s Fresh Meat Wholesalers for their generous contribution,” said Wendy.

According to her the boys have decided to carry on collecting for TLC, so they will probably make monthly or quarterly donations to TLC as they collect items. For more information or to donate, contact Wendy on 082 305 5103.
