AN armed robbery took place at NWJ Fine Jewellery at Mall of the South on Wednesday evening, July 19, at about 6pm. Mall of the South Centre Management confirmed the incident.
The perpetrators made off with an undisclosed number of items.
Mall security immediately responded when the store’s staff alerted them to the incident.
No injuries were reported and no shots were fired.
The mall’s security and the SAPS are investigating the robbery.
“The safety and security of tenants and shoppers is of utmost importance to Mall of the South Centre Management,” said Hester Smith, centre manager.
