Mini Fame Preschool’s choral verse was a winner

Six Mini Fame learners won individual items at the competition.

MINI Fame Preschool competed in the Southern Festival of the Arts on May, which took place at Saint Declans Boys’ School on May 20. They took home the prize for “Own Choice Choral Verse” when they recited “The Owl and the Pussycat”.

Teresa van der Merwe could hardly contain her joy: “They are the most fantastic children in the world and I love them all so much,” she said with a big smile. Teresa established this preschool at 15 Sand Street, Brackendowns, 27 years ago after she discovered that she had a deep love for children. She added that teaching these children is her passion and for them to achieve something like this makes her proud beyond words.

What’s more, six Mini Fame learners won individual items at the competition. These learners are Joshua Pilkington (5), Kaiden Blanc (4), Logan van Rensburg (4), Luke Robertson (5), Makhasane Boloko (6) and Luke van der Wouw (2). Well done, little ones!

TOO CUTE: Mini Fame’s learners recite their item-winning dramatised choral verse “The Owl and the Pussycat” for the RECORD.
