FOX Security has issued a warning about certain crime hot spot areas where residents should be vigilant at all times:
* The open area between Hennie Alberts Street, JG Strydom Street, Old Vereeniging Road and Delphinium Street. Incidents of robbery, assault, murder and rape have occurred here.
The victims are often domestic workers travelling to and from work through the open field. Residents should warn their domestic staff who use this route.
* The intersection of Old Vereeniging and Potgieter Street. This area is known for vehicle hijackings and theft from motor vehicles (off trailers and bakkies).
Report suspicious activity or persons to your local security provider or the Brackendowns SAPS on 011 617 5600.
