Burst water pipe causes havoc in Alberton North

They have blocked the water with rocks.

Houses in Alberton North and Florentia have been expetiencing low water pressure or no water at all in Pieter Uys ave between Louis Trichardt and Van Rensburg due to a pipe hit by contractors.

The pipe has been spraying water since Wednesday afternoon.
Some houses in the street don’t have water.


The EMM was contacted more than once but to no avail.

A home owner in the area got a private contractor to split electrical box.

That is when they hit the pipe stop valve which needs to be ordered from Germiston.

WATCH:

Local resident, Mr. Eddie Enslin, is upset that no-one managed the workers becayse they were left to work on their own.
The company used Riaan Reynolds (neighbor across the street)’s electricity to do the work
