Albertonians ready to get fit and stay healthy

A wide variety of activities took place, including a boot camp, strongman competition, cross-fit training, spinning, rebounding and aerobics.

THE Alberton Sports & Fitness Club held its annual Health Awareness Fun Day on May 1.

It was a day well spent with the community of Alberton, as many people showed up to lend their support.

SQUATS: The community, especially women, participated in these open fitness classes, squatting away all their problem areas.

The club went all out with a wide variety of activities, including a boot camp, strongman competition, cross-fit training, spinning, rebounding and aerobics.

Children were also catered for with jumping castles. There were many stalls to buy from.

The event was lots of fun and entertained the whole family. Everyone received free goodies and left with smiles on their faces.

STRONG: One of the activities included a strongman competition, where men tested their strength and determination.

The club would like to thank its sponsors that made the event possible: Sports & Fitness Club Alberton, GNC Supplements, Iron Foundary supplement shop, Unilever, Herbalife and DJ Otis of Harlem World.

“We continue to salute the Sports & Fitness Club for its continuous support of health awareness and changing many people’s lives for the better,” said Joe Zuma of the club.
