Pavement gets pounding just after being repaired

I strongly suggest that the municipality put a few poles in the ground to stop these vehicles from driving on the sidewalk and damaging our paving.

We have noticed the paving on the pavements is coming loose and it’s come to our attention that it’s because the money transport vehicles are driving on the pavements.

This after the municipality has just recently fixed the paving and has put covers over the drains.

I strongly suggest that the municipality put a few poles in the ground to stop these vehicles from driving on the sidewalk and damaging our paving.

The RECORD received the following comment from EMM: “City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) (Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality) has ordered the poles to be installed in order to prevent all vehicles from using these pavements as parking areas,” said Themba Gadebe, EMM spokesperson.

BROKEN: Some signs of damage already visible.
