Donations to SPCA dwindle

Join the Furry Friend Foundation.

DUE to the worsening economic climate, donations to Alberton SPCA have decreased.

“We want to give the animals at the SPCA the best possible care and to do this we need regular donations. The Furry Friend Foundation was set up to make it easier for our community to sponsor us on a regular basis. It also enables us to budget more effectively if we can count on future donations,” said Vanja Ingold, a member of the SPCA.

If you want to be part of the Furry Friend Foundation, contact the office at albertonspca@telkomsa.net and they will send you a debit order form, or pop in at their offices, in Lincoln Road, General Alberts Park, to pick up a form.

People who make a regular donation will be issued with a Section 18A tax certificate so that their donation can be offset against tax.

Donations can also be made into the following bank account:

SPCA Alberton, First National Bank, Brackenhurst, cheque account 6235 8088 394, reference: Your name and ‘FFF’.

“Only by having the support of our local community can Alberton SPCA continue to care for the numerous dogs and cats that are increasingly making their way into our protection. We thank you profusely for your continued help and concern,” Vanja added.
