AS winter approaches there will be many homeless and less fortunate people sleeping out in the cold.
Alberton SA Search and Rescue (SASR) is pleading with the community to open their hearts and donate a blanket.
“Let’s stand together and make sure that this coming winter, when we climb into our warm beds, we will know that we made a difference in the life of someone, somewhere out there, who can sleep warm as well,” said Cornelia Rudman from SASR.
Their main goal is to give to those in Alberton and, if God blesses them with enough, to reach out to the Benoni, Kempton Park and Boksburg areas too.
“Anybody willing to donate a blanket, please feel free to either send us a private message or email us at info@sasr.co.za for collection arrangements. Any other donations are also more than welcome. SASR thanks each and every one in advance,” Cornelia added.
