“Shut up or I shoot you!”

The hijacker threatened the woman's daughter to stop screaming or he will shoot her.

A 42-year-old woman from Datsun Street was reportedly hijacked on Friday, February 24 at 22:00.

The woman arrived at home driving her red Ford Focus (CB 20 CD GP) and stopped at her gate when, suddenly, a silver BMW with two occupants stopped behind her vehicle.

One suspect emerged from the passenger side of the BMW, walked towards the woman’s window, pointed a firearm at her and demanded her car keys and cellphone. The suspect opened her door, grabbed the keys from her and pushed her to the ground.

The woman’s daughter saw through a house window what was happening to her mother and came out of the house screaming. The suspect ordered her to shut up or he would shoot her. He then got into the vehicle and the two drove away.

The vehicle, worth R260 000 and with a tracking device, has still not been found or tracked by the tracking company.

A carjacking case has been opened with Eden Park police.
