SAPS now on scene at Mitzy’s

The brutal attack on Ludi Vink, which claimed his life, has apparently not been reported to the Alberton SAPS.

TRYING to get information from the Alberton SAPS about the brutal attack and consequent death of Ludi Vink is proving to be difficult – mainly because it would seem no case has been opened.

Ludi was stabbed with a pool cue on Tuesday, February 21, at Mitzy’s biker club in Randhart. Ludi is the young man in the video who seems to be trying to stop the fight. On the video people can see Ludi being stabbed by a man with a large build who then turns around and walks away, while Ludi was laying on the floor.

A close family friend has confirmed that Ludi has been declared brain dead but he is being kept on life support so that his organs can be harvested for donation.

The RECORD contacted the Alberton police a couple of times this morning, but is struggling to get any information on whether the suspect has been arrested or about what happened.

Other news agencies have reported that the police were only contacted on Wednesday morning, even though the incident took place at about 23:00 on Tuesday.

The Alberton SAPS spokesperson, Captain Manare Ramotshela, said they know nothing about the incident.

Again, the RECORD gave the information about the incident as well as where it took place. The RECORD then contacted the station commander, Col PP Sekoma, who confirmed that no incident had been reported to the Alberton SAPS.
