Cycling club spreads some love

AMCARE hosted the Love Bucket event, where cycling was celebrated and food was donated to families in need.

APART from cycling, spreading love and care is something Germiston Wheelers Cycling Club is really good at.

On Saturday, February 11, the club helped families in need by donating 20 “love buckets” full of food to AMCARE.

Germiston Wheelers, known as the club that cares, has been cycling and giving back to the community since 1984.

AMCARE hosted the Love Bucket event, where cycling was celebrated and food was donated to families in need.

A “love bucket” is filled with many items, including food, toiletries, cleaning aids and other necessary materials. One bucket can sustain a family for up to a month and is valued at roughly R600.

The event gathered 20 of these buckets. Afterwards, these were delivered to the needy families by those who were involved in the event, ending the morning on an emotional, yet positive note.

If you feel generous and want to help the “love bucket” cause, visit www.amcare.org.za or contact Nadine Mason on 079 500 8011. Alternative contact numbers are 011 869 5856 and 011 907 4220.
