Woman in critical condition in alleged hit-and-run on Comaro Street

Investigations continue into alleged hit and run

A woman, believed to be in her early 30s, had to receive advanced life support after being hit by a motor vehicle on Comaro Street yesterday morning (Sunday, February 13).

ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene in Comaro Street before 08:00 and found the woman on the side of the road. It is believed that the woman was running with a friend when she was knocked over by a motor vehicle and sustained a head injury and an open fracture to her left leg. ER24 paramedics transported the patient to a nearby hospital in Alberton for further treatment.

Local enforcement authorities were at the scene and will be investigating the alleged hit-and-run. ER24 has been contacted for more information on the incident. An update to follow.
