Rubbernecking causes three fender benders

Rubbernecking results in accidents involving seven cars.

This morning around 07:45, one accident gave rise to three, involving seven cars.

The first accident happened when the driver was seeing to his baby son and bumped into the car in front of him and in turn bumped one in front of that one.

The second accident was due to rubber-necking and two cars collided. Both these accidents occurred on Michelle Avenue, opposite the Action Sports Arena, headed from Meyersdal to Alberton proper.

The third accident involved cars heading the other way and was once again caused by rubbernecking.

No injuries were reported.
