Twelve injured in accident

Traffic was backed up.

Twelve people were injured on February 9 when a taxi collided with a light motor vehicle at the Barry Hertzog and Napier Road intersection in Milpark, Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find both the taxi and light motor vehicle in the middle of the road.

Passengers from the taxi had already climbed out of the vehicle and were milling about the scene.

Traffic began to back up heavily due to the collision.

Paramedics on scene began to assesses the patients and found that 12 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
