A big truck has overturned on the R59, at the split with Johannesburg and Kimberley, EMPD has closed off the road completely.
According to an official (anonymous), the truck driver lost control and the truck overturned. It is unknown whether the driver was injured or not.
Skid marks are clearly visible, so it appears that the truck may have braked suddenly and overturned.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
