Toilet thieves have no respect

Many visitors felt ashamed and disgraced by the theft which, they said, showed that others have no respect

THIEVES have no shame or respect for anyone – not even a family in mourning.

When the mourning family of Aunt Tandi Klaasen went to bed on Monday, January 23, the mobile toilet in front of the house was still parked under the street light and in perfect condition.

“When we got up on Tuesday morning, the mobile toilet was without wheels. The shameless thieves stole the wheels, the battery and some of the inside utensils and gadgets.

“When my mother passed away on January 15, a friend offered us the mobile toilet to make things easier for us. This offer was made because my friend cared and wanted to help us and now I have to return damaged goods. It is so sad to see how other people take advantage of those who mourn,” said Lorraine Klaasen.

Many visitors felt ashamed and disgraced by the theft which, they said, showed that others have no respect. They said Ous Thandi’s fame helped put Eden Park on the map and now faceless thieves came and disgraced that.
