UPDATE: Another body found near Alberton City

More information will follow soon.

ANOTHER body has been found in a spruit at the bridge in Du Plessis Street near Alberton City and the post office on November 7. According to Elowayne Gouws from Fox Security, it appears that the man may have drowned and has been in the water for a couple of days.

The body was finally retrieved just before 21:00 after fire fighters had to use chainsaws to cut it loose from the debris. A source on the scene informed the RECORD that it looks like the deceased suffered blunt force trauma to his face.

It is possible that accidental drowning can be ruled out, however the cause of death can’t be confirmed as yet.

The RECORD will only be able to confirm the details surrounding the incident after we receive an official report.

The RECORD will keep updating as the investigation progresses.
