Kiara Nirghin named among most influential teens in the world
She is young and very talented.
SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD Kiara Nirghin is approaching superstardom after being named in the list of 30 most influential teens in the world.
The local star who won the 2016 Google Science Fair is on the same list with the Obama teens, Sasha and Malia, and world-renowned Disney Channel star, Skai Jackson and Netflix hit Stranger Things, Gaten Matarrazo, and American artistic gymnast who won gold and silver at the 2016 Summer Olympics, Laurie Hernandez.
Kiara designed a science project that can use fruit to keep crops alive during drought. She had set out to create a super-absorbant polymer (SAP) that could be sprinkled over dirt to make it retain massive quantities of water, much like diapers do.
