Another armed robbery at one of Mall of the South’s stores

Hester Smith, Mall of the South Centre Manager, has confirmed that the robbery took place this morning.

An armed robbery occurred at the Telkom store this morning, on Saturday, 8 October 2016 just after 9AM.

Suspects entered the store and produced firearms. An undisclosed amount of goods was taken. No shots were fired and tenants or customers were not harmed during the incident.

The Centre’s Security is working closely with the South African Police Services (SAPS), Community Policing Forum Mondeor SAPS Sector 1.2.3 and SOS to assist with them with the investigation.

The Mall has been secured and is trading as normal. The safety and security of shoppers and tenants is of the utmost importance to Mall of the South Centre Management.
