No direction to Eden Park

Family and friends visiting Eden Park always have to ask for directions.

“HOW do I get to Eden Park?” This is the question many motorists ask pedestrians walking on Kliprivier Road near Brackendowns and Meyersig.

Residents of Eden Park reported to the RECORD of how their family members struggle to follow directions whenever coming to attend a funeral or paying a visit, especially when coming from Pretoria or Johannesburg.

The worst is when visitors come from other provinces. The name Eden Park does not appear on any road signs in the area. On the R59 freeway, north or south direction, motorists face a nightmare locating Eden Park.

The question of why Eden Park is not on any road sign was asked of a former ward councillor, in 2008 already, and that was eight years ago. The then councillor reported back to the community, after the general meeting at the community hall, that he was doing his utmost to have the matter resolved but it never happened.

Residents hope the new councillors will be able to help.

The RECORD forwarded the request to EMM for comment and will publish it as soon as it is received.
