THE SAPS National Cycling Team received new shirts for their upcoming national championships recently.

Captain Chris Buys, the team manager of the SAPS Gauteng cycling team and Mr Warren Geyser of Hi Zone Security Series, handed out cycling shirts to be used by the team in their upcoming participation in the SAPS National Cycling Championship, held from July 10 to 15 in Kimberley, Northern Cape.

“It is a great honour and privilege to receive these shirts from Hi Zone Security Services as it will come in handy while cycling in the cold winter conditions we are currently experiencing,” said Buys.

“Hi Zone Security Services has endeavoured to assist the team in this regard as part of their deemed social upliftment programme and building of good relationships and sound partnerships.

“Hi Zone Security Services understood our need for these items and got the ball rolling in a very short space of time, which has led to the handover today.

“It is with great thanks and humbleness that we have received these shirts as it will enable us to be a contender for the best team at the championship as we will have uniformity when participating.

“On a personal note I, Captain Chris Buys, would like to thank Hi Zone Security Services as well as other businesses and entities and individuals within the Alberton community who have enabled me as a cyclist to live out one of my sport passions through their kind assistance over the years. Thank you to all,” he added.
