NATIONAL NEWS: Shoot-out injures two

The exact cause of the incident is subject to the investigation of local authorities.

TWO MEN were critically injured on June 30 after an apparent shoot-out on the R55 in Sunderland in Centurion.

ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene shortly before 10h00 and found two men, both security guards, lying on the pavement.

Paramedics found that one man had sustained a gunshot wound to his head while the second man had sustained numerous gunshot wounds to his body.

Both men were found to be in a critical condition. Paramedics began treatment and provided both patients with numerous advanced life support interventions.

Once treated, both patients were transported to a private hospital for urgent treatment.

While on scene, ER24 paramedics found that two women had sustained minor injuries, sustained while they were running away from the scene.

Both women were treated and transported to Kalafong Hospital for further treatment.
