MAYBERRY PARK was like the Wild West this morning, after a shootout between SAPS and suspects driving in a 3 Series BMW.
CPS Security’s tactical units were dispatched and the SAPS was contacted shortly after 02:00. After the vehicle was pulled over in Birch Street, by Const Riaan Venter from the Brackendowns SAPS, a shootout occurred between the suspects, CPS Security and the police.
A chase then ensued and the suspects lost control of their motor vehicle in Apiesdoring Street and crashed into a wall. Two unlicensed firearms were recovered, as well as house breaking implements.
Unfortunately the suspects got away.
