THE Suburbs Camera Club (SSCC) recently held its monthly meeting at the Glenvista Country Club where the two April club winners were announced.

Established in 1962, SSCC is one of the oldest and most well-known camera clubs in the country and is a participating member of the Photographic Society of South Africa (PSSA).

The club has a sole mission to promote photography as an enjoyable activity and a form of art by providing a venue for photographers to meet, socialise and exchange ideas and information.

The club meets regularly on the second Thursday of every month at the Glenvista Country Club where members submit their photographic work and judges provide feedback, awarding a grade to each image.

The club offers opportunities for photography outings, workshops and social gatherings and welcomes members of all ages, new ideas and new challenges to learn, improve and enjoy photography.
