TheTWO cars were damaged and one nearly hijacked on the R59 just before Michelle Avenue, in short succession recently.
One of the victims, Jaco Combrinck, had this to say on Facebook: “Hi all, my car just got damaged by a guy who threw a rock at me while driving on the highway. It happened just after the Reading interchange before Michelle Avenue. I didn’t get a good look but it was definitely a guy. I turned back but he was already gone. Be on the lookout!”
The other victim, Catherine Stephenson, claims that this has happened to her as well. “We almost got hijacked on the R59, before Michelle Avenue, today when someone came out of the bushes and threw a rock at the car. Thankfully nobody was hurt and we didn’t stop the car. We just want to warn everybody,” said Stephenson.
RECORD is awaiting comment from the police.
