BRACKENDOWNS SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Lindi Moloi has called for support from the public following an attack on a police officer.
The officer was attacked and stabbed by two male suspects at approximately 06:00 on Thursday, March 17. The officer was reportedly en route to his transport when he was attacked. He managed to return to the station and from there was attended to by emergency services and taken to a nearby hospital.
The suspects are currently still at large.
“We wish him a speedy recovery and ask that the public help and protect police officers who risk their lives daily to protect residents,” Sgt Lindi stated.
