BREAKING NEWS : Suspected robbers’ luck run out

Five suspects did not get away.

So I just went out for lunch to the Pick and Pay at New Redruth Village in Alberton, but instead of really just buying lunch and driving back, robbers tried to  flee the scene of their last job.

According to one of CPS Securities officers the five suspects robbed The Hub of clothing and other items worth R5 000 to R10 000.

A police officer from East London who was off-duty saw this happened and caught them.

One suspect ran on foot and while the others ran to the get-away car, but they had no luck. CPS reaction unit was too quick for them.

I am used to writing the articles and getting the phone call to go out to the crime scenes, but here I was. With people running and screaming and the mall’s gates getting closed, you do get worried and you are in a panic.

People must really be aware of crime at any time of the day and at any place.

Crime has become a part of our daily lifes.

More information will follow.
