Learn more about safety

The workshop will cover a lot of safety tips.

A SELF-DEFENCE workshop will be hosted by Child Welfare Germiston in partnership with the local police.

The workshop will start at 09:00 and run till 14:00 on Saturday, April 9, and will be held at the Edenvale Sport Centre in the JP Bezuidenhout Park, 17th Avenue, Edenvale. Tickets cost R100 each and booking is essential to secure your seat.

This workshop is for all women and children (10 years and older) who want to learn how to defend themselves and prevent life threatening situations. The workshop will cover ATM and internet safety, rape and domestic violence, how to handle hijacking and robbery situations, as well as demonstrations on how to defend yourself. Child Welfare Germiston hopes this workshop will help teach residents how to keep themselves safe and empower people with the ability to be able to defend themselves and to stay safe.
