A MAN was killed and three others injured on Wednesday, February 24, following a head-on collision between two vehicles on the Kromvlei Road in Kromvlei, south of Johannesburg.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene, they found one of the light motor vehicles in the middle of the road and the second vehicle on the side of the road.
Upon inspection of the light motor vehicle on the side of the road, paramedics found the male driver lying trapped inside the vehicle.
Unfortunately the man had already succumbed to his injuries prior to the arrival of the paramedics.
Three other men were found in the vehicle, one critically injured. Paramedics extricated the patients from the vehicle and began their treatment, providing the critically injured patient with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the patients were transported to various hospitals for further treatment.
The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
Local authorities were on the scene to conduct further investigations.
