A 44-year-old man of Philander Street in Riemvasmaak was shot three times in his yard by hijackers on Saturday, February 6, at about 18:00.
According to Eden Park SAPS the attempted murder was committed by hijackers who could possibly have hid on the property. The hijackers wanted the man’s white Toyota Tazz.
The suspects attacked the victim with a firearm, hitting him repeatedly on the head and then fired three shots at him, two hit him in the leg and the third shot in his buttocks.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found the victim bleeding and called for an ambulance.
