Opelweg Primary inducts new leaders

Leaders are well balanced and lead by example

THEY stood proud in front of the school during assembly when they were announced as the top learners and leaders of their school.

On Monday, February 8, Opelweg Primary held the induction of the 2016 leaders. The 35 leaders selected are the top learners of the school who made a great impression on the selecting team.

The headmaster, Roger John, in his address during assembly said that the selected 35 are learners were observed to have good, outstanding qualities, were well disciplined, neatly dressed, always in time for school and most of all, academically well-balanced and hard working.

“Remember you are now the leaders of the school and that you must lead by setting an example for all learners, because a leaders is someone who organises a group to reach its goals and aspirations,” John said.

Words of motivation were also uttered by brother Kenny Whitecomb of the AFM Church, who opened with a scripture reading. His theme was based on every learner having a dream and working hard to make that dream come true – even in difficult times.
