Six male suspects aged between 21 and 45 were arrested by the Alberton SAPS.

Six male suspects aged between 21 and 45 were arrested by the Alberton SAPS. Sector team for business robbery and the possession of stolen property after the team spotted, stopped and searched a suspicious truck driving along Heidelberg Road, on December 11. During the stop and search 29 truck tyres were found inside the truck and two toy guns which look like real firearms. The four suspects were unable to produce invoices or proof of purchase and therefore were arrested for the possession of stolen property. While SAPS were busy detaining the suspects a representative from SOG Security reported a business robbery at the CSC only to find out that the items robbed were the truck tyres recovered by the Sector team. A case of business robbery was opened and Crime Office members discovered that two security personnel, one working at the premises of the robbery and one working next door, were involved. They were arrested and charged with business robbery together with the other four suspects. The six suspects will appear in the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
