ALBERTON – A business in Alrode was robbed on Friday, November 20.
Sergeant Boikanyo Tlala was patrolling on Bosworth Street when he spotted five men running past him. The store manager stopped Tlala and told him that the five men had just robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of cash.
Sgt Tlala gave chase and saw one suspect discard a firearm. He caught three of the suspects; two escaped on foot from the scene.
The suspects were aged between 25 and 33 years. They were charged with business robbery, resisting arrest and possession of an unlicensed firearm. The suspects appeared in the Palmridge Magistrates Court on November 22.
