Planned water outage expected

Residents are advised to store water for domestic use.

Residents from the Palm Ridge area are being advised that they can expect to experience water interruptions on Monday, November 2, from 08:00 to 16:00.

“The interruptions are part of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality’s continuous efforts to provide a stable and reliable water network to consumers,” said Themba Gadebe, EMM spokesperson.

“EMM will be relocating water pipes to a new reservoir. In order to make way for the work, there will be a planned water supply interruption that will affect Palm Ridge and surrounding areas.”

He said the whole of Palm Ridge proper and Palm Ridge extension three will be affected by the planned interruption.

Residents are advised to store water for domestic use.

“The EMM wishes to apologise for any inconvenience to be caused,” Gadebe said.

There will be water tankers stationed at the following areas:

• Palm Ridge Fire Station, next to Eden Rich School.

• Palm Ridge extension three.
