The Piatto Alberton Pizza restaurant in Alberton North has caught fire this evening.
It seems as if the fire might have started by the pizza vent which seemed to have spread to the roof.
Emergency services such as the Ekurhuleni Fire Department and National Paramedical Services (NPS) were on scene to assist.
Kevin Peel, NPS spokesperson said nobody was injured as the damage to the property were minor.
“People were still having their dinner when we left about a half-an-hour ago (19:57),” he said.
No further details are available at this stage as the restaurant could not be reached for comment on their landline.
