House break-in suspect arrested

On Saturday night, October 17, a 24-year-old man broke into a house in Lambretta Street and stole a Sony plasma television set. The community hunted him down and found him with the TV in his possession. Police were summoned and the suspect was arrested.

Attempted hijacking in Eden Park

A 44-year-old owner of a BMW 335i series was shot and wounded in the head on Saturday, October 17, at about 22:00, on the corner of Leon and Petersen streets, when two armed thugs tried to hijack his car.

The victim was buying braai meat when two robbers demanded his car keys. He refused to surrender them and was shot. The thugs ran away and the man was rushed to hospital.

A case of attempted murder was opened at Eden Park SAPS.

Foreign national shot dead

On Thursday morning, October 22, a 35-year-old foreign national was shot dead in Bohemia Street, in Palmridge, while driving a Ford Bantam bakkie.

It is believed that the victim was shot by two foreign nationals who fled the scene in a black Corsa bakkie.

A case of murder is being investigated.
