102 golfers tee off for AMCARE

The annual AMCARE Charity Golf Day was yet another success.

AMCARE’S annual Charity Golf Day saw 102 golfers tee off at the Reading Country Club.

All 18 of the country club’s holes were sponsored and through the generosity of many other contributors, no less than R72 000 was raised for the AMCARE Centre of Faith, Hope and Love situated in New Market Park.

“We are privileged and extremely grateful to have so many people supporting our work and giving in such abundance,” said Percy Howroyd, general manager at AMCARE.

“Our work never ends, as the need in our communities increase daily,” he said at the prize-giving dinner. With the format of play being a four-ball alliance two scores to count, the all girl team of Martie Snyman, Amanda Kieser, Sophia Whitehead and Ronel Broodryk, was crowned overall winners with 94 points.

Reverend Neill Robinson, chairman of the AMCARE board and founder of AMCARE, thanked all the sponsors and players for their continued and generous support.
