ALBERTON – Meyersdal sisters, Athena and Alexia Munn, have been named as finalists for Miss SA Schools, representing SAHETI School in Bedfordview
Athena and Alexia are in Grade Five and Grade Two respectively. Cindy Munn, the girls’ mother, stated: “I hope it will further develop and nurture the girls’ love of humanity so that they can be true philanthropists.”
The sisters have chosen to raise funds for Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer. Along with a fellow finalist, they became Cupcake Angels and hosted a cupcake sale at the George Bizos Marathon and raised R3 500.
Pamphlets with information regarding early detection signs were handed out too. The day was such a success that the sisters have vowed to make it a yearly event. The Avril Elisabeth Home received the remaining cupcakes.
