WARNING: Severe thunderstorms on the way

The South African Weather Services (SAWS) are predicting a good chance of rain for tonight.

Alberton, get your umbrellas out as the South African Weather Services (SAWS) are forecasting a good 60 per cent chance of rain this afternoon and it is expected to continue until tomorrow morning.

Elizabeth Webster, a weather forecaster at the SAWS warned that the rain will also bring about the possibility of a severe thunderstorm combined with a chance of hail.

“We are predicting that the rainy weather should clear up by tomorrow, late afternoon or by the evening.”

Webster said tomorrow’s temperatures will range between 16 and 27 degrees Celsius.

There is also a 30 per cent possibility of rain falling over the weekend, from Friday, October 16.
