Two trucks and a vehicle collide on N12

Traffic was backed up after a collision on the N12-West yesterday afternoon.

Peak-hour traffic was backed up after 16:00 on Wednesday afternoon, October 7, due to a three-way collision between two trucks and a Volkswagen Golf on the N12 west going towards the R59.

Kevin Peel, spokesperson for National Paramedical Services (NPS), said their paramedics were on scene but another emergency service had already treated one injured patient for minor injuries.

“From what can be gathered, the vehicle got caught up between the two trucks, one being a fuel tanker, when they collided.”

The Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) were also quickly on the scene to provide assistance with directing traffic.

Peel said the patient was transported to hospital via ambulance.
