LISTEN: Huge honour for local business
A local accountancy firm have made it big out of hundreds of nominations received for a small business awards category.
THE directors of Donna HD Chartered Accountants were over the moon when they heard that their firm was recently nominated in the 702 Small Business Awards category.
Jana Duvenage and Celeste Hendricks opened their accountancy firm in Alberton four years ago and since then it has been going from strength to strength.
“We were overwhelmed when we received the news that we are one of the 30 finalists out of hundreds of nominations,” Jana said.
“It is a big achievement and we feel appreciated for the hard work we have put into our business over the past years.”
The firm has a good reputation as numerous clients have gone onto 702’s Small Business Awards website and nominated them.
Accounting done gently, as only a woman can!
“Our mission states that we are there to serve clients with excellence through continual relationships. We know that being a small firm you need to work harder and give your clients the attention that they require, especially if they are also a smaller business,” Jana said.
She hopes that the nomination will open even more doors and exposure for the firm.
“We want to be known as a small firm that delivers more than expected. Although we are not only focusing on women, we work towards treating our clients with a finer touch and attention,”Jana said.
“Having being nominated was definitely a privilege as we were in the top 30 finalists out of hundreds of nominations.”
*Jana and Celeste were selected as two of the top 35 under 35 chartered accountants by Accountancy SA and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) in 2014.
