SAPS has zero tolerance for drugs

Those who use or sell drugs in Alberton will be arrested warns Sergeant Phora Nkuna, a police spokesperson.

ALBERTON — The Alberton Police are warning drug dealers and users that Alberton is a drug free zone.

“Those who use or sell drugs in this area will be arrested,” said Sergeant Phora Nkuna, a police spokesperson.

“We have a team of members who are concentrating on drugs and anyone found to be in possession of drugs will be arrested.”

He said the most common drug on the street is dagga.

“The police are also concentrating on other drugs and arrests will follow.”

Four suspects have already appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court for being in possession of drugs.
