Pensioners bring smiles to the faces of Lerato’s children

The little girls from Lerato Educational Centre in the Jackson Drift informal settlement could not contain their joy when they received beautiful little dresses made by Aileen Johnston and Pikkie van der Westhuisen.

EIKENHOF- The little girls from Lerato Educational Centre in the Jackson Drift Informal Settlement could not contain their joy when they received beautiful little dresses made by Aileen Johnston and Pikkie van der Westhuisen.

These two retired ladies created each dress with a specific girl in mind and worked long, but happy hours to make the clothes. Pikkie also dug deep into her meagre pension to buy each boy a summer shirt as well.

Lerato Educational Centre clothes, feeds and educates 470 children in the informal settlement and are grateful for what these two ladies have done.

If you wish to donate any items to Lerato, please call Rene Parker on 083 414 6144.
