Charities4Change to meet with CSI reps

ALBERTON-Organisations that attend the monthly networking meetings of Charities4Change (C4C) are joining forces to gain much needed financial support from large corporations.

The group met at Café Le Plumbe in Glenanda on September 2 and among the attendees were Stepping Stone Hospice, Woman and Men Against Child Abuse, Marian Rose Foundation, Amcare, Matrix Men, Paballo ya Batho, Tsohang Youth Project and, the organisers of C4C, the Epic Foundation.

New members were introduced and thereafter the organisations discussed taking the network to the next level. The group agreed that if they unite, their impact in the community would be more successful.

Securing finance for charity work is a big challenge that all the non-profit organisations face. Alta Mcmaster from the Epic Foundation will therefore arrange for corporate social responsibility and investment representatives from several large corporations to join the networking events going forward. This will serve a dual function as the representatives can share information on the requirements from these corporations and the C4C will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and the work they do. This will ensure that corporations can make informed decisions when selecting charities to support.

Any charity organisation that wants to be part of C4C can contact Alta on 082 940 6230 or send an e-mail to info@epicfoundation.org.za
